WEEKLY BABY REPORT

we are on weekly visits to the OB from now until the baby comes. so, i thought i would try to blog to report what is going on.

we found out that the baby's head is still down. this is excellent as Mayo will not even attempt to deliver a baby if (s)he is breech. so that would be a pretty big disappointment if we didn't even get to try for a vaginal delivery. our OB said it is 'rare' for a child to flip after 36 weeks. so, everyone keep fingers crossed that shortie decides hanging out upside down isn't all that bad, just for 4 more weeks.

the doc wouldn't put a number on the baby's weight. she said size and measurements are all good and within range. she said she wasn't predicting a 'big' baby, whatever that means. i think leeser was happy to hear about that.

now we are just watching for signs of early labor or the real thing, i guess. Leeser is dilated to about 1cm, so that's not much in the grand scheme, but it means that her uterus is 'thinking about giving birth'. i thought that was an amusing way to put it.

that's about all we know for now. leeser is still doing really well, feeling pretty good and we are both looking forward to meeting this baby.
