Nat and Lucy visit

a good friend of ours lives down in new castle, which is a hour or so north of sydney, which is a long way from brisbane. luckily, we were able to coax her and her new baby girl, lucy to fly up for a few days. it was the first time we got to meet her and she is at the adorable 10 month old stage. what a stinker! so our last two days have been spent catching up with nat and entertaining lucy. it has been so much fun.
me, nat, lucy yesterday we rode the city cat in to the city so we could hang out a bit at south bank. the city cat is a water public transit boat that goes all along the brisbane river. it was lucy's first city cat ride. and just the day before she had taken her first airplane trip. it has been a big couple of days.

lucy even had the chance to do a little splashing around in one of the kiddie pools over-looking the brisbane river and the city. she has been doing plenty of that in her life since her daddy is an avid surfer, but it was still fun for us to see her splashing around and trying to balance in the sand.

not much else to report. we shove off for new zealand in two days. we've heard the weather is a bit cooler there, so whatever amount of color i have will surely be gone by the time we get back to minnesota. oh well.
