i wanna climb

went to the famous oktoberfest this weekend. had a lovely time with heather, daina, cath and crew. the weather was amazing! i think that may have been the best part. soaking up the last hours of sunlight the summer has to offer.

accomplished a few things over in lacrosse. climbed a rock wall for the first time. it was about 30 feet high. i was amazed at how much fun it was. i've always wanted to try since i have been scrambling across breaker rocks around lake michigan for as long as i can remember. so, i may have found a new winter hobby as there is a climbing wall here in rochester. just need to find a good climber to show me the ropes (pun intended...sorry).









also met a new cool kid. i've heard the name jen snook quite a few times. always followed by, who is jen snook again? then i hear, oh mako you know jen. and i say, no i don't. i've never met her. turns out she had the same thing goin' on in the vicey versey fashion. so we met, we drank, we laughed. check her out here. i'm hoping to have talked her into designing me a new tattoo to fit the spot left on my right arm. i have full confidence that she'll do a smashing job.

and finally an amazingly difficult task has been executed after perhaps 10 years. i got a photo with daina mae. she is probably one of the most anti-camera people i've ever met. for some reason, she was up for it saturday. and she hadn't even had that much to drink. maybe she did??? either way, lucky me.
