dangit, anyway

i have so many fun things planned for the weekend and i woke up with a sore throat today. oh well, i guess it was inevitable since ruby has had a cold. plus i haven't been exactly getting the best amounts of sleep lately.

lacrosse pride was a fun and entertaining weekend. i never did get around to posting anything. but, suffice it to say i wasn't in bed till after 4am either night. sheesh. i am way too old for that malarky. one of the highlights was a 100+ mile motorcycle ride to benefit the pride organization. the weather was gorgeous and we toured along the mississippi river. what can be better than that? it made me rethink letting my motorcycle permit expire. maybe i should have gone to the classes to learn how to ride? (hope mom isn't reading this).

this week has been a long one with the implementation of a new machine i have been working on for over a year. when i was in development i was involved with all the validation and testing, so i actually brought it in to the division. then i took the education job just in time to write all the materials, organize all the training and do all the hands-on stuff. has kept me hopping. anyway, i've been in at 5 or 5:30 all week to assist with morning quality control and get the donor center up and running. takes a lot out of a kid these hours.

looking forward to a minnesota lynx game this evening up in the cities. alli was gifted some tickets and the opportunity to talk about a camp she went to for kids with heart conditions. it should be a great experience for her. she is so looking forward to heading out to center court to talk to the whole arena. i can't wait to see it.

tomorrow i am scheduled to hit river trail cycles to get hooked up with a bike rack and perhaps fitted for a road bike. we shall see what young emily can talk me into. after that back to her house for grilling and yard games or movies depending on the weather. might see if i can hook up with a few other friends while i'm over there too. just hoping this cold doesn't become too debilitating.

sunday i get to hang with ruby. i'm hoping for nice weather so we can play out in the backyard and maybe go for a few walks.

p.s. just for the record, i am not wearging a biker skullcap on the bike, i am wearing my brewer's hat backwards. just wanted to dispell any rumors. ha ha ha.
