I haven't had much to say lately. Mostly because i have been running around at work like crazy. A grey cloud had settled firmly over my head as rumblings about reorganization and restructuring floated around.
Finally i had a mysterious meeting scheduled between just me and my supervisor with no further information. I called to ask her what the meeting was regarding and she said, oh don't worry about it, some decisions have been made...just enjoy your weekend.
Needless to say that left me with a serious panic that my position was actually being cut and i would be ushered straight out on my back-side. Not a nice feeling.
Anyway it turns out there IS a big restructure that is rolling out. The biggest change is that my position has been swallowed up by the department. There is no more development for the donor center. Now i will be a part of the QA team. So, although i'm pleased i havent been let go, a QA position is not what i applied for or accepted.
I guess for now i am just rolling with it. We'll see how it all goes. Not a nice feeling at all.
I thank george W directly. But like i mentioned, i am still getting a paycheck.

I'm sorry for the restructuring. Hopefully this change will be for the better somehow. Hopefully, you'll really like it, who knows, right? Mainly I'm happy to hear you still have that paycheck coming in, no worries.
Sorry to hear that the changes are not your choice but I'm glad you still have a job. Everything happens for a reason right? Easy for me to say, I know. I hope things go well and you enjoy at least some of your new duties! You'll be in our thoughts and prayers!
xoxo
i love how we can still blame W for sh!tty things that happens. Is there a time limit on this? I hope not. we still love you - even if you are a QA person now.

hi amy sorry i'm late in making a comment. sorry to hear you're going through a job change. in the 35+ years i've been lucky to work for ma bell i've had 5 different jobs, 2 jobs i left because the handwriting was on the wall, even though i enjoyed them they were disappearing. in each job change my knowledge grew, i met good people, and survived the initial "learning period" to become productive and happy.
don't be too worried about tomorrow for you will miss the joy that is today.
we will survive!
love mr
