well, i missed work yesterday. shorty was still feeling sickly. leeser stayed home with her on friday, so it was my turn monday. i am nursing this cold too, so i didn't mind staying home. although, i didn't get much rest. a bunch of snow dumped on us, so had to snowblow too. sheesh, if only i could enjoy this snow instead of just moving it off the driveway. oh well.
one success of the weekend was that a batch of apple pie vodka was cooked up. i found a recipe on the world wide web (with no help from relatives or readers or relative readers). it turned out delicious. i haven't decided if i need to add more alcohol or not. it was tested by our pal, david too. i gave him a bottle for his kind efforts clearing the driveway and sidewalks while we were away over christmas.
not much else going on. i am eating australian licorice like it's going out of style today and i can't wait to go home. oh, and unfortunately we didn't win the $120million jackpot on saturday. dammit.
