ruby's party for her very first birthday went really well. we had some wild action from crazy kids. other than that, ruby behaved like a little angel. she loved her cake and instead of smashing it, she carefully picked it up and ate the whole piece. it was funny, little oinker. she got so many great gifts and it was so nice to see friends and family.
i'll post some better photos, but i'm saving them for her real birthday on wednesday. thanks to my family and leeser for helping get the house ready. i think the party turned out pretty well for the first try. although, i feel somewhat a failure because we didn't have ice cream with the cake. i didn't even think of it. who doesn't have ice cream with cake? oh well. we'll have to do better next year. or when she turns 5 and can enjoy a party.

It was a fun party even without the ice cream. To be honest...I didn't even realize it wasn't there until you just mentioned it. It's not like there was any shortage of good eats!
I never take ice cream with cake - I wasn't the slightest bit disappointed. Food was delicious too.
