back from crimbo

we had a dicey trip down to racine on christmas eve. the weather didn't cooperate all that well, but i guess it could have been worse. poor ruby wasn't happy in the car seat for the last part of the trip. but, we made it. the trip back was much smoother.

in between it was great to catch up with family and friends for the holiday. ruby is warming up to my family and other people so much more. she is still definately grandpa's little girl.

i ate lots of great food and had tons of candy and cookies. mom also sent us home with a load of holiday sweets. i'll have to hurry and eat them before i start getting healthy in the new year. (will that actually happen?)

i hope everyone is working on their new year's resolution(s). I have a big one for this year. i will post it in all it's detailed glory on wednesday. shoot that means, i better work out my contract with myself before then too.

ok, here's the most exciting news that came from the holiday. no, it isn't that i got to go snowshoeing for 8 hours on a trail that was perfectly fluffy and quiet...no, that didn't happen because it was 52 degrees in racine. sorry, i don't mean to be bitter, but we had the built in babysitters there. ok, ok here it is:
