i had every intention

i was going to try to be a bit better about blogging what we were up to while the girls were here. turns out, i couldn't make myself spend even one moment away from them. i'm sure they would both admit i was something like a burr on a puppy's tail after a romp in the woods. a little shadow of our pommie girls. we all were.

we did everything and nothing. just enjoying each other's company in the same room for the first time. we took a trip up to the mall of america. a fair amount of shopping was done and we also had a really lovely meal at ruby tuesday's. it was in honour of little rubis who stayed home with jaclyn so we could shop till we dropped. it ended up being 5 or 6 hours. plenty of time to do some good damage.

we went for some walks with the dogs and a hike without them. the weather could have been a bit warmer. we had some nice days but some that were too chilly. our only weather contingent fun was rained out of course, the honker's opener. so they will just have to come back to have that experience another time.

so, nic tells me it's 95 more days till we head over to see them in the UK. i won't start the blog countdown just yet. i don't know if i've ever been so sad to see anyone leave as i was yesterday. i will just keep fingers crossed that girls figure out how great the midwest is and decide that california really isn't the place for them.
