rain equals yippee

friday was a quiet night at home.

saturday we had to go to winona for haircuts. so, i am always excited about haircut days. when we woke up it was dreary and cloudy. and the humidity wasn't hovering around 100%, so we figured it would rain. it did. and it did and it did. so, that foiled our plans to go fishing at whitewater on the way home. but we didn't let that get us down, we were freshly cut and waxed!

half way home we got a call from angie cancelling the bbq that was planned for later in the day. so we had the whole day ahead of us WITH NO FURTHER PLANS! i think now might be the appropriate time to use the word 'stoked' even though i'm not a skater or bmx biker (we watched a lot of the x games this weekend).

we got some tastey lunch food: 3 pepper hummus, champagne aged white cheddar, garlic stuffed olives and crusty bread. we ate then decided to head off to the movies. by now the rains was coming down in buckets, but we didn't care too much we were off to the movies! only one small incident, i forgot my swedish fish in the car. but, that didn't make the movie any less enjoyable. we say the bourne ultimatum, by the way. i think this third installment had more action than the first two if that is possible. entertaining and enjoyable.

sunday we skipped church to run errands and cleaned up the house and got the office cleaned up a bit so we can start turning it into the nursery. it was a good weekend.

this coming weekend we welcome traveling lecturer in pharmacy from the esteemed univeristy of queensland australia, dr. lisa nissen to our home. we'll have to see what kind of nonsense we can get up to when she is here.
