i have no excuse for not posting more often. sorry to disappoint people who might look for a laugh or some entertainment at work. i know, really it's only my sister, but in case anyone else reads. anyway, i do have an excuse for not posting as regularly, no internet at work. this is still sucking.
on to hummus and golf. my wife bought me an enormous 8 cup food processor a while back. and finally we put it together and made some of the best hummus i've ever tasted. i haven't tasted a lot of homemade hummus, but i've had a lot of hummus and this stuff was really good. i made some with roasted red bell peppers (capsicum if you are from australia). my friends at work think i should quit and start selling hummus for a job. i don't know if that's because they don't want to work with me, or they really liked the hummus.
yesterday i want to the driving range for the first time ever. i have never swung a golf club or hit a ball in my life. well actually, i tried to swing one on the porch before we left and i took a divot out of the carpet. oopsie. incidentally, who knows how to spell divot? i had to look it up. sheesh.
anyway, i am terrible. i whiffed about the first 50 times i tried to hit the ball. anyone who knows me, knows i'm pretty good with ball and stick sports and i venture to say my hand eye coordination is not so bad. so, i got pretty frustrated. but finally, i started actually hitting the little puckered-piece-of-crap-ball and that was a lot more fun. granted i did top the hell out of 90% of the ones i actually contacted.... but hey, golf is one of those games that is made to piss you off. now, i let my crazy korean friend jen-jen talk me into joining the ladies fun league. more on that when i see how it goes. it should be interesting though.
ok, better go clean up the house a little. then it's off to the golf course again. i hope this message finds everyone happy and healthy!

oh, stacey L. what do i do with you? hummus is a mediterranian or greek thing, i don't know for sure. basically it's ground up chickpeas with some other stuff, it makes a really great dip on pitas. come and visit me, i'll make you some!
