tea bag string thingy

does anyone else feel that these things should be a little bit beefier? granted true tea connesieurs probably use loose tea and those fancy french press things. but i bet there has gotta be a good chunk of us that, in the interest of time and convenience, use tea bags. not to mention that i don't have that sophisticated of a pallet, so i can't really taste a good cup of tea versus a crappy one.

anyway, my travel mugs that i bring on the bus in the morning (three prepositional phrases in a row- go me!) hold about 12 ounces or so. thus, i need two tea bags. i think 98% of the time, no matter how careful and patient i am, i rip at least one of those strings off! usually i just toss the bag in the water anyhow and then fish it out later. but today, i thought. F this! i make enough money, i can afford another tea bag. so i threw away the one that was torn off. so far, no guilt has set in. AND i was able to dunk both bags instead of the other lifeless bag just hanging around getting in my way. i don't know if this is a new 'thing' for me, or just a mood.

really, i'd rather drink coffee, but the green tea is much better for me. also, i hacked up a green lugie this morning in the shower. so maybe that virus that i've been fighting off is gaining a little. who knows?

cruiser report: tonight is my first date, i am going over to a friend's apartment for dinner. i am going to take the cruiser. get this though, a) it's windy today and b) i haven't installed a basket yet and c) it's my turn to bring the 12 pack of beer. we'll see how it turns out!
