new hair

so we all know how stressful it is to change your hairstyle. well, at least for me it is. so today, i decided to be brave and (without anyone's opinion beforehand) venture in to work without the same hair i've had for 3 years. i did this one other time when my hair was a bit longer; it turn into a disaster. i just decided to come to work with my hair flat instead of sticking up everywhere messy. granted, it did look different and it was a little shocking, but i thought since we are all adults everyone would get over it by the end of the day. well they didn't. it was a bit of a scarring experience too. so since then, i've had my hair the same way, sometimes a bit longer, sometimes a bit shorter, but essentially the same.

anyway, seems like everyone has reacted the same as last time. giving me a hard time and just walking over to my area looking at me and walking away. it feels a little like high school. except for one person. she came in so excited and said how cute it was and that she loves the new do. she said it's a great look for me, not too lesbian-ish, just hair-ish. so, thanks jamie (aka jamez)! you made it better and easier to stand all the ridicule from the people that are supposed to be my 'closest friends'.

also, i think i will keep my hair like this for a while. screw everyone else.
