...stop listening to that damn radio. -leona ness
made it down here relatively smoothly. not always an easy task when traveling with 4 adults and a 4 year old. hoping the flight home goes equally well.
mexico certainly isn't what i expected. i don't know what i expected but this is not it. i'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing. i wasn't prepared for all the vendors and agressive time share representatives. every where that we walk people are jamming flyers, necklaces, hats, keychains and other hideous fares into our faces.
what i am enjoying is the architecture and colorful designs of building in traditional and old mazatlan. i have been snapping photos like crazy. i'm trying to shoot both digital and film. praying that the lomo is going to live up to my expectations. we'll see.
for touristy stuff we've spent some time down in old mazatlan, went para-sailing, walked along the monuments, visited a famous old church (i still don't know it's name), cracked beers before noon a few times, enjoyed several beach walks, sunsets and freshly cooked meals. fishing didn't work out. a zipline tour through the canopy of mazatlan is scheduled for tomorrow. hopefully the weather is nice. of course it's been unseasonably cold and windy. but seeing the sun and sand rather than snow and ice has been welcomed.
for some reason, the link to upload photos isn't working. i'll try to post a few to facebook or try again tomorrow. see you all in a few days.
hasta!
