meltdown [mělt'doun'] noun: Informal A disastrous or rapidly developing situation likened to the melting of a nuclear reactor core.
i think it's safe to say i have experience fits of sadness, dispair, anger, discontent and depression in my 33 years of life. up until yesterday, i would not have characterized any of them as emotional meltdowns. i can now check that off of the list. what do you know? the 'certain physiological changes' above mentioned were present and even in more severe form. i can understand and fully believe that it's possible for a frail adult in their 90s to die of a broken heart.
anyway, that was the worst of my weekend. but, i did get to spend some time with people i love and who love me. probably the best part was a quick hour with ruby. i enjoyed watching her cram her first tastes of poppyseed cake down her gob. it was amazing how earnestly she was eating it. very cute.
i was also privy to a great sermon at church on finances and material things. i'm a litte bit ashamed to say i had to go out shopping that evening for some stuff for the apartment, but gotta get all settled, right? ha ha ha.
also, a big shout-out to kayler for zooming over to the duplex to let me in after i locked my keys inside like a genius. sheesh.
Below, my weekend via cameraphone (crappy quality BB cameraphone, but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick).
1. freak snowstorm after work on friday
2. comforting gnarly trees up the bluff at quarry hill
3. the makings of an amazing sammich after hiking on saturday
4. enjoying two recreational drinks- blackberry cordial made my yours truly and a latte picked up by kayler sunday evening.

p.s. i didn't post about my emotional meltdown to get sympathy or have anyone ask why it happened. it just did, doesn't matter what triggered it. i just wanted to share my experience as it was new for me. i feel blessed that i made it this far and hadn't experienced something like that previously.
