new little snow lover (sort of)

i have been waiting and waiting all winter for a 'nice snowfall'. one where the weather isn't too awfully cold, but there is enough snow to take ruby out. the crazy freak storm sweeping the midwest was just the ticket. luckily we live in a strange 'bowl' a bit like a valley but there are no deciding features like bluffs to call it a valley. anyway, we often get missed by really big weather or it's milder here in town. so yesterday we got a nice layer of thick pack-y snow. it was Leeser's turn with the snowblower and luckily it worked.

while she was laboring away. i dressed up ruby and brought her out for her first ride in an awesome sled that was gifted to us by tammy, mike and alli (thanks guys!!). she seemed to have an ok time riding up and down the driveway and along the sidewalks. we only kept her out for 30 min or so. it was probably more fun for us to get her out and look forward to when she is big enough to stay warm and we can actually go snowshoeing.

hope everyone has a nice weekend. we have haircuts scheduled, but someone who was away on business got food poisoning and is still having water poos. hopefully she is ok tomorrow to go down to winona. we shall see. luckily, ruby seems to be back to her old self. we are keeping fingers crossed that we will have a few weeks of a healthy baby for a change.
