back from flah-i-duh

hi ya'll. (tell me why ya'll sounds cute coming from a formerly southern, now midwestern folk singer and not me?) anyway.

i am back from my trip down to orlando. i have to say, i am not a fan of orlando generally. i was a fan of the warm weather and the sunshine though. i think all of you midwesterners know how the cold and the grey can get to a person. anyway, i wasn't exactly in a sad winter mood just yet, but i guess i have been in a funk lately (yes, poppy hilary i'm admitting it).

so, it was nice to see clare and spend time with her. i am eternally appreciative to my family who helped fund the trip, but didn't reap any benefits. plus i was away from them (that was a bummer). but we have made a pact now that whenever clare is in the states for business, one of us will fly or drive to see her. it's silly not to take advantage of the proximity if even only for a weekend. so, next time it will be lisa's turn. unfortunately, our economic status at the moment prevents us from all going as a family. it's just too expensive to fly.

i will save the report of what we got up to until clare hooks me up with her photos. i just did some landscapey stuff. she has the funny ones of our activities and the ones of us. i did overall have a lovely time.
