light show

i am going here tomorrow. you should be jealous.

i have a few photos i really like. surprising ones, things i don't usually shoot, like a seagull and some worker guys eating lunch. i wish i could post them and give everyone a better update of what i'm doing around montreal.

i am getting pretty pooped out though because i'm in classes all day long and between or after i try to run around the city a little bit. it's tiring. i would love to be here with a native canadian so i could have a tour guide. see the little hole-in-the-wall bakeries with the best pastries or the gelato cafes with the best stuff. oh well.

so far, haven't done too badly. ate some great italian last night, just by wandering and finding a restaurant that looked quaint and busy. it was delicious. then tonight we stumbled on to a thai restaurant, that was also lovely.

ok, then. need to get my beauty rest so i'm up for a tour of the basilica at 8 bells when it opens, before classes start. then i hope to catch the light show in the evening. maybe i can talk ed into going with me.

p.s. there is an iHome in my room, and i just worked out how to set the alarm so i can wake up to songs from my ipod. i can't wait. i will wake up tomorrow to the soothing sounds of dido singing, 'take my hand' rather than a 'waaaaa-waaaa-waaaa' blaring alarm clock. woot. (i'll probably sleep through it)
