haircuts, sushi and chores

we had a quiet friday and a nice saturday. went and got haircuts and had a lovely coffee from 'cabin coffee' on the way. i even remembered my new fancy cabin coffee co. mug so i could get a discount. i got a great new haircut that is a little on the trendy side for me, but i like it because it's not bushy on the sides. a good blogger would post photos but i don't have the digital camera nor do i have the new-ish betty that i have been lusting after complete with a built in camera. so, you'll just have to take my word for it.

anyway, it was raining then sunny then downpouring then sunny then gloomy then sunny then dark on saturday. so we didn't do anything outside. but already had plans to go over to L's workmate's house for dinner. we made and brought fresh sushi, she provided the clean house and indoor plumbing. a find that an excellent trade-off these days where chores really get neglected. it's just that a six month old bubba looking like this:

makes it really hard to want to do anything besides play. it isn't even the time issue. although time is admittedly crunched with her around it's just that i have absolutely zero desire to leave her side. i'm away from her all day. when i get hold of her at 3pm, i just wanna sit and play. nevermind the toile that needs scrubbing or the lawn that needs mowing. *note to potential visitors: we are dirty birds now. see above comment. be forewarned.

anyway, i'm digressing but this does make a nice segway into our sunday. we got to chat with our girls on skype but after that the day went to pot. it was chore day and that makes for a cranky household. oh well. now it's monday.

oh yeah, to complete my other thought. we had a very nice night out at the lamers'. the sushi was excellent (i heart sushi) and it was a nice mellow night. a few adult beverages and some laughs. plus shorty was the perfect little angel the whole night.

that's about all i know. i have another embarrassing tidbit about myself, but i will save that for tomorrows blog.
