can you listen?

some of you folks can listen to music while you work, some of you unlucky buggers can't. if you can't, might as well skip the rest of this blog. sorry.

so, i can listen to music and often do because of late, most of my job has been mining data, making spreadsheets, paging through donor/patient log sheets, etc. so it doesn't exactly take a huge amount of concentration. when i'm writing a manuscript for publication, i need quiet. but not for this stuff.

anyway, the last few days i have been really, really enjoying a streaming (free/listener-supported) radio station. it plays really ecclectic, enjoyable music. and no, it's not just lesbian folk music. it's really great stuff. for example, the last set was: elliot smith, beatles, pearl jam (the old stuff, from 10) and now we are on to blondie. you cannot beat that with a stick. i am thinking about contributing today.
