(i took the liberty of creating a title for marty)
the first romantic interlude with snow for a midwestern daughter who is two and very short, but hasn't let that inhibit the formation of her very ecclectic and charming personality
marty writes:
so, after much weeping and gnashing of teeth, we finally managed to get
Ali all bundled up for her first experience playing in the snow. All in
all it went pretty well - she thought it was fun to have Tony pull her
around the yard in her sled. Which ended up working much better after
he shoveled a track in the yard. Walking in the snow was equally fun
after she figured out that it really was o.k. for her to do so.
However, it is NEVER o.k. to have snow on one's boots and I frequently
had to stop and brush them off as we were walking along. One thing Ali
learned is that it's tough to catch yourself when you're that bundled
up...especially when you're top-heavy (big head, little body). she
ended up doing a face plant in the snow bank when she was looking at the
snow. The second time she got a face full of snow when the sled tipped
(daddys like to go fast), I decided that was enough for the day and we
went in and shared a cup of hot chocolate. By "shared" I mean Ali got
all of the marshmallows and I got to drink the cocoa.

yay for guest bloggers and photies of little alice. i am glad to hear she had some fun in the snow. I can't wait for Ruby-C to go sledding with her older (but by that time probably not bigger) cousin.
Tone thinks that Ruby's gonna be bigger than Alice by July. I think we should probably take bets.
well she is already half of alice's weight in 2 months. he he he. poor little midgey.
