so it has been months since my back has even been feeling workable. that is, i can move around and not wince or look like i have a tennis racquet rammed firmly up my ass. so the last few days have been quite heavenly. i mean, if you read this blog fairly regularly, or even once in a blue moon you know that my back has been a disaster since well before ruby was born.
anyway, so my back is feeling good and i get on the treadmill a few times. i did some walking and then a bit of jogging up some inclines. they were short runs, only 30 min and i was doing a seriously slow jog. it felt really good to be moving again. it's been 2 months i've been down and out.
so i woke up the other day with a weird feeling leg. kinda numb and sore. turns out i may have torn my calf muscle. what the hell? i can't seem to have more than 2 days without being in pain or having something broken or not working right.
if my back isn't hurting, i'm puking my guts up (or sometime both at the same time). if my back is fine, my leg is hurt, or my knee is sore. if that's all good i have a cold and i'm swallowing so much snot i don't need to eat meals. when my cold is feeling better i can't take a poop or something. jeez. it's all getting to be a bit much. i used to be healthy all the time. few aches and pains and always on the go.
i wonder if it really is all down hill after 30???
anyway, sorry dear readers for always bringing you down with my ailments. perhaps i should get back into yoga, a more gentle activity for my elderly bones. he he he.
in other news, we are on the cusp of getting ruby's birth announcements out. just getting the formatting and little changes finished up thanks to the creative genius of amazing graphic savant pal, carihard (of hardatworkdesigns.com). so those should be getting in the mail soon. i hope to get everything to the printer this week. so finger crossed that all goes according to plan.
hope everyone is well. bundle your asses up if you are living in minnesota. it's gonna be effing cold this weekend!

you little shit'ake mushroom, you...you couldn't help yourself could ya?!
People - don't bother to look at that website because there isn't anything there, it's just a source of humiliation at this point - unfinished business.
get well man! you're making me ache just hearing about it. I say, and I'm sure the docs say, skip the jogging, that's not the only way to get in shape and stay in shape - so many alternatives. all that jarring on your bones isn't necessary, but you know that. just have to harass ya a little.
