new tatsbamboo and i have been planning to get tatted up together for over 2 years. finally, she has agreed to give it a go. this is her first time getting tats. i was so proud of her sitting down to have work done on her ribs. we went to a few different shops today and the fellas tried to talk us out of getting work done on our rib cages. we perservered though and found an artist we really liked and he agreed to get into it.
i got my first black koi fish. it was about a 2 hour sitting, pretty painful. bamboo got a series of symbols that are significant to her. everything turned out well. our artist, eric was too tired to do my other koi which will be red and swimming down on my other side. it was a great and painful experience. but, now bamboo and i are sharing that bond we have been talking about for years.
they fly out tomorrow and i'm going to be sad to see them go. we are already looking forward to another visit in july before ryan deploys to iraq again for 18 months. at that time, bamboo will be moving in with us as she works on classes to finish her master's degree in preparation for medical schoo. she's a smart girl.
that's about all i know.

oh my God you crazy girl! that must have been a hoot - wish I could go that wild but Paul hates them...I do plan to embellish the one I already have after making babies...so maybe I'll join you in an appt some time. carihard
