flying is for the birds

hello all!

i'm happy to report we have arrived down under all in one piece. i still hate the trip, but it was 100 times better than last time. maybe because it took us 2 planes rather than 5. one minor hang up were the electrical difficulties in L.A. So it was about midnight or so before we were able to take off and 'real time' for us was closer to 2am. but, what can you do?

nothing too exciting yet. hung out with anna, dave, hilary and joe all day yesterday. i actually slept 15 hours or something to get over the jet lag and am feeling pretty good today. i think that's a good sign since it took me 4 days last visit to be able to sleep through the night.

anyway, we are off to the markets today and easter celebrations tomorrow. uncle barry is coming over for dinner and anna and dave. then monday is the blues and roots festival in byron bay. i have been looking forward to that for months. i will be sure to post photos of that!

i hope everyone is doing well. i can smell the pancakes, so i'm gonna go and eat brekkie.

p.s. 85 degrees and sunny all day, 60s and breezy in the evenings!!!!
