the dang weather

screwed us this weekend. for a weekend of disappointments, it still went relatively well. we spent lots of time with our little flappy niece, alice. she entertained us the whole time. and i was able to find some snowboard boots. we also had a nice dinner which my sister cooked for us. complete with a special meat-less meatloaf especially for me. (i took some photos so i'll post them later).

two disappointments were the tattoo convention in green bay. we weren't able to see kat vonD even though she was there. they had her segregated in some special area for which the entry line was out of control. but the good thing is, we didn't have to pay the $15 entrance fee before finding that out. so we decided we should plan better next year and walked out.

then we proceeded to argue about where to eat and ended up at tom's drive-in just near sandi and tone's house. it was good and i got to have fries, a malt and a veggie burger. good job tom's for having a vegetarian option on your menu!!! i would also like to point out that alice LOVED my veggie burger and didn't eat any ground cow. (smart little kid).

anyway, it was a nice weekend, but waking up sunday we discovered snow that was previously unforcasted had arrived. so, we cleaned up and headed out pretty quick which was a good choice since the roads were pretty crappy. but, we made it home in one piece. and we didn't have to spend 7 hour on the road like mom and dad did.

poor little alice has come down with a double ear infection and ruptured one eardrum. so hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon and she will be feeling better in no time. on the other hand, i think she may have managed to pass on some of her green snot to me. i now have a little sore throat. i'm gonna do my best to kick it before i get really sick.
