apple pie in a ziploc bag

turkey day (sans turkey) went well. the weather was gorgeous! we started off the day around 8:30 with a nice hike up in the quiet bluffs at quarry hill. then we lounged around a bit, made the potatoes and rolls, and headed off to mike, tammy and alli's place.

tammy had a great spread. this was my first anti-turkey thanksgiving, and i can't say i missed it a bit. we filled our faces just like normal. then, enjoyed the rest of the evening with a little pictionary. it was a very enjoyable holiday.

as we were leaving, alli (5 years old) decided to hook us up with some left-overs. so she starts farting around in the kitchen; all of a sudden she walks up dangling a ziploc bag for me. "here you go, take this with you...." she says. i look down at her big blue eyes, her hand resting on her hip and her sideways grin. she was holding a demolished piece of apple pie inside the bag. how funny is that?

she also sent us with a bag full of cranberries and a bag with an assortment of anti-meat lunch meat, pickles, olives and cucumbers. sweet! thanks alli.

i hope everyone had a great turkey or tofurkey day!!
