the lake house

i've heard so many bad reviews and rips on the lake house. the sappy movie with keanu reeves and sanda bullock. i thought i wanted to see it when i saw the previews at the theater. then i heard the rumblings and wasn't too sure.

but, along it came on our netflix. so we watched last night and i'm not ashamed to say that i enjoyed it. that kind of sappy crap is some of my favorite stuff to watch on the big screen (or small screen). i loved the house itself and the central tie with the dog (everyone knows me and dogs) and i love trying to figure out what was going on a split second before it was revealed. in all i thought it was pretty unique. obviously a magic mailbox is outside the realm of possibilities, but it's a movie.... i've never seen anyone run up a wall like the matrix but people loved those movies.

anyway, not much else to report. work has been keeping me very busy. i'm starting to understand a few more things and i have good days and bad days as far as feeling overwhelmed.

i am pretty unhappy with the universe about the weather patterns this year. fall is my favorite season and it seems like we have skipped it this year. oh well, what can you do?
