darn weather

so, we made it back from canada all in one piece. no one got any tats; i think i'm the only one who is truly disappointed. oh well. we were able to see some cute towns and enjoy some great views of lake superior. however, it was a long, long trip. bamboo is thrilled that we drove all the way around one of the great lakes. why did we dtrive all the way around you ask? a)no reason, just one of her hairbrained ideas and b) we missed the damn ferry by 7 mins. one wrong turn. after that we resigned ourselves to just continuing on the route and making the complete circle by nightfall. it all turned out ok. i think the highlights were enjoying the nice weather and pedestrian bridge to canada near the falls. and checking out the gay district in downtown toronto.

now bamboo and leeser are trying to pack food into one of ryan's tackle boxes. they thought it was a cooler. anyway, we are off to a picnic on a tour boat to see the thousand islands. i don't know too much about them, but i bet i'll learn. it doesn't look like we'll get to see the mountains this trip. the weather just isn't working with us. and who wants to hike the mountains in the rain? certainly not i.

we fly out tomorrow night, so we'll see what we can get crammed in by then!
