a good thursday so far

for some reason i woke up in an excellent mood. i have no idea why, maybe the same reason that we sometimes wake up in rotton moods. good sleep, enough sleep. who knows?

i had the best tasting ruby red squirt before leaving to catch the early bus. why did it taste so good today? who knows. on my 3 block trot down to the bus, i was happy to discover although it was a bit crisp outside there was no wind to make me miserable. so, my mug of coffee didn't cool down to fast and it also tasted delicious. i do know why this time.... i dumped too much sugar in.

anyway, even the regular crap around work, can't squash my mood. even the confirmation silliness on mpr which i spent a few hours listening to this morning can't get me worked up. despited the fact that in two hours, i don't think i heard judge alito answer one question directly.

now i've confidently and happily switched the radio station to 89.3 the current which is now playing some excellent classical music. yes, i do adore public radio. yes, i am a member of mpr. yes, i am a geek.

i have no idea how i was able to transcend all the drama here at work, but i hope this feeling continues. maybe i should check to see if we won the powerball drawing last night... nah, i'll wait till i'm in a crappy mood, then i won't even notice the disappointment. eh, who am i kidding, i just checked. we didn't win; but on the up side, it's another chance for even more money on saturday's drawing!
