bingo, bowling, and beers

sorry about the titles, i guess i think i'm cute.

anyway, i had my first experience with serious bingo and a bingo hall. aside from playing bingo in spanish class in high school, i don't have much experience. i guess you could say i was a bingo virgin.

well, let me just stay, that is a definate waste of $11 (the smallest card available) and $1.75 for a mini dauber. luckily, leeser treated me because i was so uninterested in going. so it was really a waste of her money. i think the only thing that would bring me back to that place is a) the fountain coke, which was delicious, but not free and maybe b) all the crazies with their trinkets, and cigarettes and oxygen tanks. bingo players are crazy. i think if it was a bar/bingo hall, i might try again.

the boys had the city bowling tournament on saturday, so we watched them for a bit, then shared some mean gene's pizza. you remember the wrestling commentator from the 80's old skool WWF??? yeah, that guy..... he has his own brand of pizza. let me tell you, it's really good. that's the only reason we go to the bowling alley; to eat mean gene's and cheese curds. healthy huh?

after that we went to mickey's pub to hear a guy we know play. he is in a crappy country rock band. he usually plays out of town, but since he was here this weekend we thought we'd check it out. neither of us particularly cares for the band, but we love to hear grant play, he is good. anyway, the bar was so packed that we couldn't even see the band and the beer wasn't that cold, so we retired early.

that's it, my weekend in a nutshell. oh, and throw in some crappy food, movies and sleeping late. gotta love it.
