so i had a little bit of an adventure last night. got a haircut, ate a great sandwich, had a bad cup of coffee, lost my ATM card, met a cool guy, gave away $100.
hopefully, my wife won't divorce me over the money, but i had to.... i mean come on it's just money. let me explain. i went with some friends to winona to catch some live music and eat. we listened for an hour and i learned some things about this guy eric nassau that were close to my heart. basically, he is a cool hippy guy traveling around singing and camping, eventually resting in northern wisconsin to help some of his friends to build a mud and straw house.
anyway, i was moved by his spirit and i just genuinely liked the guy so i gave him some money towards his journey. he asked for a place to camp or a backyard or something. i really, really wanted to give him a hot shower and our guest room at home, but alas my wifey was at home sick... plus it was a thursday night, everyone does have to work at the buttcrack of dawn.
so, i don't know why i'm trying to justify my decision, because i was happy to give him that money.... we can afford it and some day that karma will come back to us. i just hope that my better half who is very good with money and much, much more stingy than i am will understand and not hate me forever.
