so, we just returned on friday from an amazingly relaxing 4 days up in lutsen, mn. i've never been up to the north shore, so i was delighted with all the hiking, bluff-lined river valleys, state parks and of course the accompanied scenery. i was not impressed, however with the stupid rooster that lived just 50 feet up the hill from our beautiful log cabin on the cascade river. he was happy to cockle-doodle-doo his little heart out every morning..... 2 sessions even. right around 5am, then again around 8 if i ignored him at 5. cocky little cock too... when i took some photos of him to commiserate, i mean commemerate his addition to my experience, he followed me right down the hill to the cabin. silly animals.
anyway, if you have the chance to visit lutsen, or grand marais or any of the state parks on the north shore do it, gorgeous places to see.
