i love pockets

just quickly, a thought about pockets. obviously, i don't carry a little coach bag or a dolce & gabanna colorfully lettered clutch (nothing against anyone who does, but it's not my style). so, i have two things: pockets and a messenger bag.

i guess i have always appreciated pockets. especially with current fashion trends and over the last 5 years, cargo pants/shorts are everywhere. even more exciting is how culturally acceptable they are for work, play, alternative lifestyle chicks, etc. thinking back to my movement from high school to college in 1995, i think the only cargo pants that were really available were actual standard issue army cargo pants. now they are everywhere. i love it.

anyway, getting to the point. i accidentally left 3 wintergreen mints in my right pocket, and these pants got washed (by someone who never checks the pockets before putting things into the washer, and i'm sure she'll comment about me doing my own laundry or something else snide). so now, the inside of the pocket is all sticky, so my normal set-up is all amiss. i guess it will be an exercise in brain power to find what i'm looking for today in my own pockets.
